Snow Peak's 'Up Cycle Cotton Project'

Snow Peak's 'Up Cycle Cotton Project'

Snow Peak have begun their efforts to recycle cotton products and connect them to the manufacture and sale of new products - “Circular clothes” instead of disposable clothes.

It requires around 10,000-20,000 litres of water to cultivate just one kilogram of raw cotton. This contributes to the mass environmental effects that the fashion industry is responsible for.

Snow Peak’s aim is to create clothes that consider people, nature, and the future. When making clothes there is almost always a large amount of waste from cutting pieces which is always a problem as often, the waste will be thrown away. Many materials are dyed and treated with chemicals, therefore, when the product gets thrown away, they are often discarded by incineration, which will ultimately contribute to increased levels of pollutants in the earth’s atmosphere.

Snow Peak's clothing, which coexists with nature and engages in close activities, must connect people with nature and think about the future of the environment.

Here at Parasol Store, we value sustainability and the efforts that Snow Peak take to help towards global warming. We have a range of pieces from their ‘Up Cycle Cotton Project’ available now.
